It's Nice to Meet You
The Physics of Law is about engaging the entire world with the goal of critically thinking about how society is organized. It is not about having an end-state design to achieve a specific goal. It is about the "rules of the road" based on the physics or our existence.

My Story
I was born in Northern California in 1969 to Stewart Schroeder and Danute Petravicius. Growing up in the bedroom community of Alameda, it was a typical middle-class upbringing with a public-school education. A strong work ethic was instilled at an early age as I had a paper route (sometimes two) 7-days a week starting in the 3rd grade.
Current events, economics and critical thinking came natural to me. But the study of economics and legal philosophy truly blossomed when I went to Cal State University, Hayward (now "East Bay.") There I was introduced to the Austrian Tradition of Economics, which led to legal philosophy. There were three professors there that were instrumental in my development. Charles Baird, Greg Christensen, and Kurt Leube were an oasis of free market, Libertarian and Austrian methodology. Of course, Marxist, welfare, and other forms of neo-classical economics were taught as well. 40 years and lot more knowledge later, it was perhaps one of the best schools of economics in the country, or even the world. I just got lucky.
Professionally I began working in 1992 in the Bay Area within institutional investment management. After 18 years I left investment management to become a unique and novel type of consultant. OCIO Monitor provides due diligence of investment consultants and OCIOs. We provide insights that are normally not provided in the standard performance reports trustees use to gauge the success of their investment strategies.
Since 2017 I have lived in Utah, and was in 2024 married to Rebecca Krogh.
